2007-2008 CEC Season
Sponsor/Program Ads
We’d like to present an opportunity for your company to partner with us by sponsoring a CEC production or by purchasing an ad in our 2007-2008 Season Program. Your investment will reach thousands of Mid-Missouri customers over the course of our 29th Season (September 2007-July 2008).
Our new season features seven adult productions and three children’s shows. She Loves Me starts us off with songs of love in the air. Neil Simon’s Proposals will touch your heart and make you laugh. The Full Monty will have you laughing and cheering for the down-and-out guys just trying to support their families. When the Reaper Calls guarantees a comical thriller and Guys & Dolls will end the Season with a musical bang! This year we are offering two extra shows we’re calling CEC Stage II, the haunting Strange Snow and the comedy Sylvia. In addition, next summer CEC will launch a new Children’s Repertory Theatre that will feature three extra productions.
Your investment in CEC will pay dividends. Highlights from last Season include:
- Performances before more than 8,000 patrons in five different shows in 2006.
- Construction of new theatre risers for our audience seating.
- Completion of a successful “Buy a Chair Campaign” that raised $13,000 for new audience seating!
- Contributions of more than 39,000 hours of support from our dedicated volunteers.
Our 2007 audience survey revealed that 75% of our audience resides in Columbia and Boone County—but a full ¼ of our patrons travel to our theatre from Jefferson City, Fulton, Moberly, Boonville, Mexico, and elsewhere in Mid-Missouri, testifying to CEC’s broad regional appeal. Our survey also revealed that 50% of our patrons are over 60 years of age, and that 80% of patrons had been to a CEC show before, verifying our track record of success.
Since all seats are general admission, our audience arrives early and spends their time reading the program—and your ad!
It takes a lot to keep a community theatre running on a regular basis. Sets, costumes, show royalties, maintenance, utilities, mortgage payments, supplies, and insurance are all part of the package. It is your support of our theatre that allows us to provide quality live entertainment to the Columbia and Mid-Missouri community, and without you—our generous patrons and corporate sponsors—there would be no CEC. We take pride in our all volunteer community theatre.
