Welcometo the Columbia Entertainment Company Community Theatre (CEC) Website.We are Your Community Theatre. Our 29th Season opened with a show that is full of old-fashioned love (SHE LOVES ME), full of new-fangled love and
relationships (Neil Simon’s PROPOSALS), full of feelings of insecurity and panic—desperate times call for desperate action (THE FULL MONTY). And continues full of mystery, twists and turns, thrills and comedy (WHEN THE REAPER CALLS), and full of classic takes on all of the above (GUYS & DOLLS).
This season we introduce CEC Stage II which gives a taste of some alternate, edgier theatre—STRANGE SNOW—about the loss of what might have been and the faint hope of love, and SYLVIA—about a dog, her master, and his unhappy wife, a show that is full of side-splitting humor. We do indeed have something for everyone in this 29th season at CEC.
Way BEFORE the season starts, there is much to do at CEC and so many folks are needed to do it all!
CEC is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization. We need actors, we need people to get the show ready and onto the stage and people to keep the performance running. We hold open auditions and we want YOU to come. We welcome diversity, we welcome all ages, and we welcome all levels of experience. If you have ever had that itchy little feeling that you would like to be in a play or work behind the scenes, CEC is the place for you, come on over! We'll take good care of you. Make it a goal for yourself this year
We've made many changes to our theatre and have continued to improve it this summer. Our audiences constantly tell us how impressed they are with our productions. If you haven't caught a show, come check us out! Our audience, donors, gracious sponsors and volunteers are the life blood of our organization.
